About Me:
I have been teaching for over 25 years and have taught in both middle and high school. My husband and I have lived in the area for 4 years. My husband, Joe, is a United Methodist pastor for Newton and Mabson. We do not have any children of our own, but enjoy spoiling our neices and God children. We have a beagle-bassett dog that we rescued, Gidget. She has brought much enjoyment to our lives.
In addition to teaching, I am also a certified lay speaker with the United Methodist Church and enjoy sharing my faith in that capacity. I have a number of hobbies that I enjoy including travel (especially if there is a beach involved), reading, crocheting, and a number of crafts.
Professionally, I have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science, biology I, anatomy and physiology, earth science, physical science, and advanced placement biology. I love life science and hope that my students gain an appreciation for all things living and an understanding of why it is so important to protect our resources so that life may continue long after we are gone.
